Invoice & Estimate with Alto Is Being Sunset

What You Need to Know
What happened to Invoice & Estimate with Alto?
Invoice & Estimate with Alto has been transferred to a new owner. They are not continuing the previous product and are not migrating existing users or accounts. The App Store listing will be repurposed for their own app.
What is changing?
- Invoice & Estimate with Alto will be discontinued.
- The app will stop functioning on January 31, 2026.
- The new owner is not migrating existing users or data into another app.
Is the current app being discontinued?
Yes. Invoice & Estimate with Alto will stop functioning on January 31, 2026. After that date:
- The app will no longer operate.
- Cloud services connected to the app will be shut down.
- Your invoice, estimate, and client data will no longer be accessible through the app.
How long will the current app remain active?
The app will remain active until January 31, 2026.
You may continue using it until that date, but no further updates or support will be provided.
Will my data migrate to another app automaically?
No. The new owner is not migrating users or data into a replacement product, and there is no automatic transition.
However, if you export your data before January 31, 2026, it can be imported directly into Alto Timer. This allows you to continue working with your existing invoices, clients, and records in an actively maintained Alto app.
What happens to my invoices, estimates, and client history?
Your data remains available in Invoice & Estimate with Alto until January 31, 2026. After that date, app access and cloud access end, and your data cannot be recovered.
If you export your data before the shutdown, you can import it into Alto Timer or store it for your records. Exporting your data now ensures you retain access regardless of which tool you use going forward.
How do I export my data?
You can request a complete export of your data using our data-export tool.
The export includes invoices, estimates, clients, projects, and related records in JSON format.
Important: The export tool will only function until January 31, 2026.
What happens to my subscription?
Subscriptions will not continue beyond the app’s sunset. Apple manages all cancellations and billing. If your subscription renews before the shutdown date, you may continue using the app until January 31, 2026.
There will be no charges from Alto, and you will not be billed twice.
Why is this happening?
Invoice & Estimate with Alto launched in 2016 and has served thousands of independent workers. As we shift focus to Alto Timer and its cross-platform support, we transferred this single product to a new owner. They will not be continuing the original app.
Thank you to everyone who has used Invoice & Estimate with Alto over the years. We’ve valued the chance to support your work.
What are my options going forward?
You have two clear steps available:
- Export your data before January 31, 2026.
- Migrate to Alto Timer, which supports both iOS and Android with modern time tracking and simple invoicing. Data exported from Invoice & Estimate with Alto can be imported directly into Alto Timer.
